Increase ankle flexibility for a stronger back half of your swim stroke. For any swimmer, the kick is typically the most undertrained, underappreciated and underdeveloped swim skill. Since most triathletes kick slowly, it also offers the greatest opportunity to increase swimming speed.
As some of you will know, earlier this year I was asked by Chris McCormack (Macca) to join the team of coaching experts advising the members of his MaccaX team. Since then it’s been great getting to know the team, and helping to answer many of their running related questions.
